Q. Find the value of voltage across 4kΩ resistor in the circuit.
Solution:
We have to calculate the value of voltage across 4kΩ resistor if we take the direction of current source negative circuit will become
The current is dividing among 3kΩ and series combination of 2kΩ & 4kΩ therefore by current division law
I = (3k/ (3k +6k)) x (-2)
= (3k/9k) x1= -0.66 A
Therefore the voltage across the 4kΩ resistor will be
V = IR
= 0.66 x 4k =2640 volts Ans.
