Temperature and Conductivity:
Temperature:
Temperature of water is dependent on atmospheric and ground condition. Generally, it is found to be 2oC to 3oC higher or lower than ambient temperature. However, for potable water, a temperature of 10oC is highly desirable whereas temperatures above 25oC are considered to be objectionable.
Conductivity:
Conductivity is the measurement of the ability of a solution to carry electrical currents. It is an excellent indicator of total dissolved salts in a water sample. The total amount of dissolved salts present in a water sample is estimated by measuring specific conductivity of water, which is determined by a portable dionic water tester and is expressed in micro-mhos per cm at 25oC. With the conductivity measurement we can have an idea about the total dissolved salts in water sample.
