Electrical Conductivity

Conduction of electricity is due to presence of dissolved salts in it and it can be correlated with the whole solids. A theoretical definition of conductivity is the “reciprocal of the resistance of a cube of a substance 1 cm on a side at a specified temperature”. Classically, the units of measure are micro-mhos/cm. Conductivity or exact conductance is a measure of the ability of a fluid to carry a charge that is directly associated to the concentration of dissolved substances.
