Job Evaluation vs. Performance Appraisal
Job evaluation is different from performance evaluation. PA is the systematic explanation of an employee's job-associated strengths and weaknesses. The fundamental purpose of PA is to discover how well the worker is doing the job and establish a schema for improvement. The aim of job evaluation is to discover the relative value/worth of a job and find out what a fair wage for such a job should be. The differences among the two might be presented thus:
