Projection:

For making an engineering drawing of an object, projection is a general method. Imaginary straight lines are drawn from the various important points of the object on their contours that further reach the plane surface. The points of intersection so obtained on the plane surface are then joined in a series and the figure thus obtained is identified as the Projection. The imaginary lines starting from different points of the object are known as the Projectors.
