Stereochemistry:
Stereochemistry is a sub discipline of chemistry, includes the study of the relative spatial arrangement of atoms which make the structure of molecules and their manipulation. A significant branch of stereochemistry is the study of chiral molecules.
Stereochemistry is as well termed as 3D chemistry since the meaning of the prefix "stereo-" is "three-dimensionality".
The study of Stereochemistry get focuses on stereoisomers and spans the whole spectrum of organic, biological, inorganic, physical and particularly supramolecular chemistry. Stereochemistry involves methods for ascertaining and explaining these relationships; the influence on the physical or biological properties these relationships impart on the molecules in question, and the way in which these relationships affect the reactivity of the molecules in question (dynamic stereochemistry).
