Organic spectroscopy and analysis
There are three significant spectroscopic methods employed in the analysis of organic compounds that involve the make use of electromagnetic radiation. These are visible/ultra violet (vis/uv), nuclear magnetic resonance (nmr) and infra-red (IR) spectroscopy. These techniques calculate the absorption or emission of energy from electromagnetic radiation taking place from different regions of the electromagnetic spectrum. In difference, mass spectroscopy computes the de?ection of ions in a magnetic field.
