Basic Chemical Laws:

As previously begins, all matter is composed of atoms which that are capable of uniting to form chemical compounds. The several forms of matter could be summarizing from a chemical point of view as follows.

1. Molecules are clusters or groups of atoms held together firmly through means of chemical bonding.  There are two common categories of molecules.

a. Molecule of components - Two single atoms of the similar element, in certain cases, could become fastened to one another through a chemical bond to form a molecule. Instances of this are hydrogen (H2), oxygen (O2), and bromine (Br2). Most gaseous components exist as molecules of two atoms.

b. Molecules of a compound - A compound contain at least two various types of atoms. Molecules are the final particles of chemical compounds.   Instances of compounds are hydrogen chloride (HCl), methane (CH4), water (H2O), and ammonia (NH3).

2. Elements are substances which cannot be decomposed through ordinary categories of chemical change nor made through chemical union.

3. Compounds are substances holding more than one constituent element and having properties different from those of the individual components. The composition of an exact compound is always definite.

4. Mixtures consist of two or more substances intermingled along with no constant percentage composition.  Every element retains its real properties.
