Alcohol:
Alcohol is an aliphatic hydrocarbon along with a hydroxyl (OH) group substituting for one or more hydrogens as described in Figure.
The -OH functional group does not behave in an ionic manner in the case of alcohols. An alcohol is molecular, not ionic, in nature. The Alcohols are versatile compounds that are frequent used to make nearly each other categories of aliphatic compound.
