Acid-base reactions:

Acid-base reaction is a chemical reaction which takes place among an acid and a base. Various concepts exists which provide alternative definitions for the reaction mechanisms included and their application in solving related problems. Despite various differences in definitions, their significance becomes apparent as diverse methods of analysis while applied to acid-base reactions for gaseous or liquid species, or while acid or base character may be somewhat less apparent. The very first of these scientific concepts of acids and bases was given through the French chemist Antoine Lavoisier, circa in the year 1776.
