Cavalier Projection:

In the second case, While α = 63.4°, the projection is labelled as a cabinet projection. For this particular angle, lines perpendicular to the view plane is displayed one-half of the actual length Due to the reduction of length in lines perpendicular to the view plane; cabinet projections seem more realistic than cavalier projections (Hearn & Baker, 1996). So in case of cabinet projections foreshortening factor for edge perpendicular to the plane of projection is one half.
