Practical NC Machines

The first development in NC machines was the milling machine to suit the aerospace applications. Early machines were basically the modifications of the existing machines to take advantage of the numerical control. However, realizing the greater potential of the control, most of the machine tools have been modified greatly to take advantage of the greater material removal capability.
