Thiols and thioethers:
Thiols are named via adding the suf?x thiol to the name of the parent alkane. Thioethers are named in similar way as ethers employing the pre?x alkylthio, for instance, 1-(methylthio) propane. Simple thioethers can be named via making out the thioether like a sul?de and prefixing this word with the alkyl substituents, for instance, dimethyl sul?de.
