Pain

The Pain is a feeling activated in the nervous system. The Pain is a horrible feeling frequently caused by intense or damaging stimuli, like burning a finger, stubbing a toe, putting alcohol on a cut, etc. It might come and go, or it may be steady.

Pain can be helpful in analyzing a problem. Without pain, you may dangerously hurt yourself without knowing it, or you might not understand you have a medical problem which requires treatment. Once you take care of the problem, the pain generally goes away. Though, at times pain goes on for weeks, months or still years. This is termed as chronic pain. Sometimes the chronic pain is due to an ongoing cause, like cancer or arthritis. At many times the reason is unknown.

Definition of pain

The Pain is the unpleasant sensory and emotional experience related with noxious stimuli, those which can cause the tissue damage. The defensive role of nociceptive pain, felt only in the presence of severe injury or inflammation, is exposed by the injury which individuals with congenital insensitivity to noxious stimuli unwittingly inflict on themselves. The Pathological pain is related with chronic inflammatory disease (example, arthritis), or to damage or dysfunction of the nervous system (example, phantom pain) and has no obvious aim.
