Types of Reference Model
The ISO-OSI (International Standard Organization - Open System Interconnection) is described for an open protocol suite which supports heterogeneous networks. The DOD Model Department of Defense reference model is a condensed version of the OSI Model. That is also referred to as four layer reference model.
