Shell Moulding:

Shell moulding is a procedure in which the sand mixed along a thermosetting resin is allowed to come in contact along a heated metallic plate, so that a strong and thin shell of mould is built up around the pattern. After that the shell is eliminated from the pattern and the cope and the drag are eliminated together and kept in a flask along the necessary molten metal and backup material is poured into the mould.
