Die Casting:

Moulding Processes

Die casting include the preparation of components through injecting molten metal at greater pressures into a metallic die. This is similar to permanent mold casting in the sense that both the procedure use reusable metallic dies. Generally the pressure is attained by compressed air or hydraulically and differs from 70-5000 kg/cm2. Due to high pressures involved in the procedure, any narrow sections, complicated shapes and fine surface details might be easily formed. Combination of velocity and high pressures of the injected liquid metal provides a unique capacity for the production of intricate components at comparatively low cost.
