Centrifugal Casting:

 As its inception at the starting of nineteenth century various applications developed have survived commercial exploitation. The major feature of centrifugal casting that differentiates it from all other static casting procedure is pouring of molten metal into a mould that is rotated throughout solidification. The castings manufactured by this procedure are totally free from porosity defect and are strong (at par along similar forgings). This is because of whirling out of metal towards the periphery due to centrifugal force. Lighter impurities are also eliminated as being lighter these remain at the center.
