Continuous Motion Commands
After getting the tool in close contact with the drive surface, it is necessary to move the tool along the drive surface. To specify the motion, the following action verbs are used.
GOLFT/ ds, TO, cs Go to left
GORGT/ ds, TO, cs Go to right
GOFWD/ ds, TO, cs Go forward
GOBACK/ ds, TO, cs Go back
GOUP/ ds, TO, cs Go up
GODOWN/ ds, TO, cs Go down
Each of these specifies the direction in which the tool would move with reference to the preceding move. These motions are always relative with respect to the previous motion, so the part programmer may imagine sitting on the tool and moving along with it. That will help in easily getting the correct action verb for a given motion.
