Photographic Film:

Photographic film might be utilized in x-ray work and dosimetry. The film tends to darken while exposed to radiation. This common darkening of the film is used to determine whole radiation exposure. A Neutron scattering generates individual proton recoil tracks. Counting the tracks yields the film's exposure to fast neutrons. That Filters are used to determine the energy and categories of radiation. A few typical filters used are aluminum, copper, cadmium, or lead. These filters give varying amounts of shielding for the attenuation of various energies.  Through comparing the exposure under the various filters, an around spectrum is determined.
