Bacterial Cell Wall
The cell wall is the tough mostly flexible but sometimes fairly rigid layer in which surrounds some kinds of cells. It is located outside the cell provides and membrane these cells with structural support and protection additionally to acting as a filtering mechanism.
The Bacteria despite their simplicity contain a well-developed cell structure that is responsible for several of their unique biological properties. Several structural features are unique to bacteria and are not found between Archaea and eukaryotes because of the simplicity of bacteria relative to larger organisms and the ease with that they can be manipulated experimentally the cell structure of bacteria has been well studied revealing various biochemical principles which have been subsequently applied to other organisms.
