Angular Layout by Using an Adjustable Square
The angle at corner A is pointed out in degrees without any tolerance as displayed in above figure. An angle of 45° on the body of the adjustable square is accurate sufficient to be used for laying out this angle.
(1) Scribe a short line 1 cm from the corner along the end.
(2) Place the ruler in adjustable square and lock it in position.
(3) Place the body of the square against the end and slide it along till the edge of the ruler is over the mark on the work-piece.
(4) Hold it firmly in this position and scribe a line all along the edge of the ruler.
(5) Lightly mark this line at interval of 6 to 9 mm through using prick punch.
