Lacquers
A film forming material that dries by the evaporation of solvent is Lacquer. As it dries very quickly, it is utilized in auto industry. Most of lacquers are built of nitrocellulose dissolved in volatile organic solvents, with pigment added up for colour.
Their poor adherence to metal surface needs the utilization of primary coat for best results. Poor exterior durability is another drawback of this group, although, while well pigmented, lacquers have better durability than varnishes. Clear lacquers are utilized for protection against indoor atmospheres, whereas pigmented lacquers are appropriate for outdoor protections as well.Vinyl lacquers have properties that built them useful for lining food & beverage containers. They are impermeable to water, chemical resistance and free from toxicity and odour.
