Mechanisms of Separation through Membranes:

The mechanism through which membrane exercises the property of selective permeation of certain chemical substances is of utmost significance for a clear thoughtful of membrane separation processes. The procedure of separation includes various fundamental physical phenomena as the constituents in the feed pass over the membrane surface, within it, by it and finally leaves the membrane surface from the other side.
