Manufacturing Technology:
Manufacturing is the construction of goods for sale or use using machines and labor, tools, chemical and formulation or biological processing. The term can refer to a range of human action, from handicraft to high tech, but is most generally applied to industrial production, in which raw materials are changed into complete goods on a large scale. Such finished goods can be used for manufacturing other, more composite products, such as aircraft, automobiles or household appliances, or sold to wholesalers, who in turn wholesale them to retailers, who then sell them to end users - the "consumers".
Manufacturing takes turns under all kinds of economic systems. In a free souk economy, manufacturing is generally directed toward the mass production of products for sale to consumers at a profit. In a collective economy, manufacturing is more usually directed by the state to supply a centrally planned economy. In varied market economies, manufacturing occurs under various degree of government regulation.
