Boilers:
Boilers are generally used at huge facilities to act as basic or backup steam sources. The source of heat which produces the steam varies, other than the basic operation of the boiler is the similar. This theory will summarize the operation of a boiler.
DESCRIBE the basic operation of a boiler.
IDENTIFIES the subsequent components of a characteristic boiler:
a. Steam drums d. Downcomer
b. Distribution header(s) e. Risers
c. Combustion chamber
Introduction
The basic function of a boiler is to generate steam at a provided pressure and temperature. For accomplish this, the boiler serves as a furnace whereas air is mixed along with fuel within a controlled combustion procedure to release large quantities of heat. To pressure-tight construction of a boiler gives a means to absorb the heat from the combustion and transfer this heat to increase water to a temperature such in which the steam generates is of enough temperature and quality (moisture content) for steam loads.
