Material Transfer
These are the operations in which the robot picks up the parts at one position and place them at a new position. The fundamental application in this category is pick & place operation, where robot picks up a part & deposits it at a new location. Transferring parts from one conveyor to another is a classic instance of this application.
Though, palletizing is a more complicated example of the material transfer application. Here, the robots ought to be retrieve parts, cartons, or other objects from one position and deposit them onto a pallet or other container with multiple positions.
