Geometrical Modeling of Curves:
Geometric modeling is an integral part of any Computer-Aided-Design (CAD) system. A geometric model is represent as the total representation of non-graphical and graphical information of an object. Geometric modeling gives the user to create a geometric model of an object on a CAD/CAM system by inputting the object data as needed by the modeling method by the user interface provided by the software. After that the software changes such data into a mathematical representation that it stores in the model database for later on use. The user might retrieve and edit the model throughout the design and (or) manufacturing procedure using the model database.
Geometric modeling is the beginning point in a CAD/CAM system for manufacture and product design. Therefore, a geometric model has become a core for the other CAD functions such like automated drafting to produce engineering drawings (CADD), finite element analysis (FEM), and producing NC programs to create parts on NC/CNC machines.
