The overall magnitude of a magnetic field is calculated in units known as webers, represented by Wb. A smaller unit, the maxwell (Mx), is at times used when a magnetic field is very weak. 1 weber is equal to 100 million maxwells. Therefore 1 Wb = 108Mx, and 1 Mx = 10-8 Wb.
