Live Loads
Live loads on roof have been recommended in the IS: 875 as shown in Table.

Design snow load may be 'actual snow load' or the live load in Table 6 whichever is more severe. An actual snow load will depend upon the shape of roof and its capacity to retain the snow. This may be assumed to be 25 N/m2 per cm depth of snow. Snow loads might be disregarded within the case of roofs with slopes greater than 50o.
