L = Arc AGC + AB + Arc BKD + CD

Arc AGC = r (π+ 2β), and Arc BKD = (π + 2β) R

sin β= R + r/c

 or   β= sin -1  (R + r)/c

For small value of β

L = r (π+ 2β) + 2C cos β+ R (π + 2β)

= (π+ 2β) (R + r ) + 2C cos β
