Importance & Implications of Labour Legislations
Recommendations and Conventions have covered wide range of subjects regarding labour, for instance, working conditions including weekly rest, hours of work and holidays, employment of children , wages ,labour administration and young person including minimum age of employment, night work, medical examination , night work & employment in unhealthy processes and equal pay, employment of women including maternity protection ,health, social safety, safety and welfare ,industrial relations including right to organise collective bargaining and conciliation, and employment and unemployment. Conventions have been integrated in the labour laws of the country. Provisions of fairly a number of Recommendations have been embodied in labour law also.
