Q. Calculate the value of current Io through the 3k ohm resistor in given circuit.
Solution:
For node A (V1/6k) + ((V1 -V2)/3k) =2mA
Where V2= 6Volts
Therefore by putting its value in the equation
((V1 -6)/3k) + (V1/6k) =2mA
2V1-12 + V1 = 12
3V1 = 24
V1= 8 V ............(A)
By applying ohm's law
Io = (v1-v2)/3k
Put the value of V1 & V2 we get
I0 = (8 -6)/3k
= 0.667 mA
I1 = 6/4k
=1.5 mA
