Classification of Links:

A resistant body or group of resistant bodies through rigid connections preventing their relative movement is called a link. The links are classified based on number of joints.

Singular Link

A link that is connected to only one other link is known as a singular link

A link that is connected to two other links is known as a binary link.

A link that is connected to three other links is known as ternary link .

 A link that is connected to four other links is known as quarternary link
