ESTABLISHING A CAREER PLAN

To determine your present and future career plan, create a list of vacancies and expectations for your current job; do this by asking yourself various critical questions:

Why Do I Work? 

If your answer is "to gross money," now ask yourself why you need the money?  To be financially self stand? If you were to achieve those targets, what would you then use your income for? To travel ? To give back to particular company in your community ? Perhaps spend time doing what you "really want"? If so, why aren't you doing what you "really want" right now?If your answer is "to get recognition" or "be successful," now ask yourself what you mean by recognition or victory. Is recognition being quoted by reporters "as an expert" in your area? Is victory having family members ask you for recommendation and guidance on important matters?  Or do you ultimately desire the status and respect that accompanies income a certain amount of money?If your answer is "establish myself in my profession," now ask yourself how you will know when you are "recognized." Is it a certain number of customers you need to have? Or a particular journal you need to publish papers in?y taking your time and thinking about these questions- your answers may wonder you, and give you a deeper understanding of your real long-term target.

How Much Money Do I Really Need?

The answer to this question varies from person to person and is directly tied to your long-term targets. At the least, you should sit down and figure out how much money you need to meet your minimum living expenses. Keep remind that you should have at least three months of living expenses saved and available for withdrawal at any given time as a basic formed of privacy. Knowing how much you want to live will help you make the sometimes hard decisions about what type of job or industry you are searching for.
What Is Rewarding About the Work I Do?

Jot a few notes. Ask yourself this question. Is it the people you work with? The real product you produce? The places you get to travel on the job? Just think about what it is that would make you realize successful and satisfied in your work. Then think about what you are eager to sacrifice to accomplish that feeling.These questions are only asking to get you thinking-articulating what your long-term targets are and then building a profession plan that will achieve them is a time-consuming task. Accounting of best books has been written on the topic-goes to your local bookstore and search the career or financial strategy section. Buy a few that likes you and take the time to read them. You'll be surprised at how the process of reading what other group have to say on the topic will help you clarify what you faith.After you've spent some time thinking, make a short list of your targets and leave it in a place you see every day-in a day planner,  on the mirror,  or on the refrigerator. After living with them for a time, rework them until they present accurately what you mean.You are now ready to seriously consider the job search. Once you have a sense of the market, the next steps are to build a strong resume and a similarly strong network of contacts that can give both guidance and access to presented jobs.
