The ISO Approach to Quality Assurance Systems
For a quality system to be ISO-compliant these processes must address the field identified in the standard and must be practiced and documented as described. The Nine thousand ISO quality assurance models treat an enterprise as a network of interconnected processes. To Documenting a process helps a company understand, control and improve it. It is the opportunity to understand control and improve the process network that provides, the largest advantages perhaps, to organizations which design and implement ISO compliant quality systems.
ISO 9000 define the categories of a quality assurance system in general terms. These categories include the organizational processes, structure, and resources required to implement quality planning quality control, quality assurance, and quality improvement. Moreover, ISO 9000 does not define how a company should implement these quality system elements consequently the challenge lies in implementing and designing a quality assurance system which meets the standard and fits the organization culture, services, and products.
