Working with Pipes and Filters

This session discusses the concept of standard input, standard output and redirecting the input and output to files. That is also deals with merging simple UNIX commands to establish complex commands by using the concept of pipes. Several powerful utilities of UNIX which perform filtering of data are also dealt with. This session also introduces an important concept of Unix known as process. The commands which help in working with several processes are discussed.
