File Naming Conventions

 

  1. A filename can hold digits, hyphen (-), characters, dot (.), or underscore symbol
  2. A filename can be in lowercase and uppercase
  3. A directory can have whole characters
  4. Filename is case sensitive. For example, a filename myfile is different from MYFILE
  5. A filename should not hold white spaces or blank spaces.
