Graphical Analysis

Graphical analysis is carry out by plotting the relationships of equations (i) and (ii) on i-v plane .The solution may then be got as the point of intersection of the two graphs.

A sketch of the graphical construction is indicated in the diagram. The curve shows the exponential diode equation & the straight line shows the equation (ii). Such a straight line is called as load line. The load line intersects the diode curve at pt Q that shows the operating point of the circuit. this co-ordinates provides values of I_D & V_D
