Sockets
A Socket is the means for UNIX to network with other machines. Classically, this is completed using network ports. Moreover, the File System has a provision to permit for interprocess communication by socket files. If a socket files required to be removed, an rm command has to be used. It identified through their permission settings starting with an s character. .
