Normal Files
These are the files which are used the most. They can be either binary or text files. Therefore, their internal structure is irrelevant from a System Administrator's standpoint. The features of a file are specified through the inode in the File System which describes it. An ls -l on a normal file will look as given below:
-rw--- 1 Krishen unix 42 May 12 13:09 hello
