Integration Approaches of Cad/Cam Preliminary Status

Majority of the manufacturer prefer to specify the rough design of their component. This information is sent to the potential supplier for furthest studies. After that, supplier evaluates the tooling, fixturing and other needs of the given drawing and asses its manufacturing appropriateness keeping in view its production and other technological features. The completed designs having such information are sent again to the manufacturer by the supplier. Adopting the simulation & other optimization tool, manufacturer transfers the drawing to the devoted CAD system. One more cycle of drawing are reverted back to the supplier, where moderation incorporated though the manufacturer is included. At this stage, supplier also includes some changes according to the suggestion furnished though the manufacturer. Detail control cycle of the design transferred to shown the mechanism of CAD system is described in Figure.
