Interface with Other Subsystems
The computer-controlled system might link the AGVS materials-handling system along with other subsystems in the organisation. These subsystems include following:
- Automated storage and retrieval systems.
- Computer numerical control (CNC) machines.
- Shop floor control system.
- Process control equipment.
- Flexible manufacturing systems.
They might be linked by the host computer and a distributed data processing network. In the distributed data processing network, the system control computers communicate along with each other directly without host computer or intermediate.
