Physical Interferences Assignment Help

Assignment Help: >> Interferences in Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry - Physical Interferences

Physical Interferences:

These are independent of the analyte kind and have nearly the similar effect on emission, absorption and fluorescence along with a given type of atomiser. These might be because of variations in the gas flow rates, changes within the solution viscosity affecting its rate of aspiration within the flame that might finally modify the atomic concentration within the flame. Viscosity of standards and samples might be different if the sample holds organic solvent or a high concentration of the salt that is not the case along with the standard. Errors because of changes in viscosity may be prevented through matching the matrix and by performing frequent calibrations. A few instruments offer the capability of using internal standards which could partially compensate for changes in physical parameters involving flame temperature.
