You have learnt how to find the values of a structural quantity (BM, SF, axial force support reactions etc.) for a unit moving load by means of influence line diagrams. You have, therefore, learnt the properties of the influence line diagram and its uses.

Additionally you have learnt to draw the IL diagrams for support reactions, BM and SF at any point for a simply supported beam; and a cantilever.

In further, we will study theorem of three moments applied to fixed and continuous beams.
