Quartz tube:

The body of the torch consists of three concentric quartz tubes; the diameter of the largest tube being about 2.5 cm. A tube has three separate gas inlets. The argon gas enters the plasma by the outer channel along with a tangential flow pattern at a rate of 8 - 20 L min-1. The gas traveling up the middle channel is known as auxiliary gas and also has a tangential flow pattern. The innermost third inlet is connected to the nebuliser from which the gas enters the plasma along with the sample in a laminar flow.
