Collecting basin and Drive shaft:
Casing - It encloses the walls of the cooling tower and exclusive of fan louvers and deck.
Collecting basin - It is a receptacle beneath a cooling tower for collecting the water cooled through the cooling tower. It could be made of concrete, metal, wood, or an alternative material. Many essential accessories are needed such as strainers, sump, drain, overflow, and a makeup system.
Drift eliminators - The drift eliminators are parallel blades of wood, PVC, metal, or an instead material arranged on the air discharge side of the fill to erase entrained water droplets from the leaving air stream.
Driver - The driver is a device which supplies power to turn the fan. It is generally an electric motor, other than turbines and internal combustion engines are occasionally used.
Drive shaft - The drive shaft is a device, involving couplings, that transmits power from the driver to the speed decrease.
