Tacheometric Method

This method is appropriate for hilly areas. Within this method, a number of lines are set out radiating at a given angular interval from different traverse stations. The representative points on those lines are situated in the field through observing vertical angles and the staff reading of the stadia wires of a tacheometer. The elevations and the distances of these points are calculated and plotted and then contour lines are drawn by interpolation.
