Analytical Tools:

Many analytical tools have been developed for specific production problems, such as statistical process control, learning curves, and scheduling heuristics. Five categories of decision making techniques viz. forecasting methods, queuing analysis, optimisation models and linear programming, decision analysis, simulation are widely applied to business and engineering. Some examples of these tools are shown in Table.
