Assignment Help: >> Heat Generation - Average Linear Power Density

Average Linear Power Density

In nuclear reactors, the fuel is generally distributed in separate components that at times look like tubes, rods, or plates. It is possible to establish the average power generated per unit length of fuel component by dividing the sum thermal output of the core by the entire length of all the fuel components in the core. This amount is termed as the average linear power density. The Common units for measuring the average linear power density are kW/ft.
